DC Kulgam Visits District Hospital to Review Ongoing Health Projects and Facilities

Kulgam, Nov 11: To take stock of ongoing health projects aimed at improving healthcare services for the public, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today visited District Hospital Kulgam.

During the visit, the DC inspected the progress of various developmental works and directed the concerned agencies to expedite the completion of key projects including the extension of the 50-bedded Emergency Critical Care Unit, construction of an additional block for Maternity and Child Health, renovation and upgradation of the main hospital building, establishment of a new ticketing counter-cum-waiting area, DNB hostel, additional car parking, and creation of a dedicated autopsy room.

He also took a comprehensive review of hospital functioning by visiting the IPD wards, where he interacted with patients and enquired about the healthcare facilities and services being provided to them.

The DC emphasized on the timely completion of the remaining work on the old hospital building, directing the executing agency to ensure its full operationalization at the earliest for the benefit of patients.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Viqar Ahmed Giri, Xen R&B, AEE, CEO Municipal Council Kulgam, and other administrative staff of District Hospital Kulgam.
